While I don’t have anything firm yet, I contacted a couple of people I know within my technical life and have one who responded “Yes, I am sure we could find something
that will fit for both of us.”  He wants to schedule an interview for next week.

I also have a meeting tomorrow am at the local community college with a prof about adjunct hours. 

My husband doesn’t know about the first one yet (I just saw the email myself) but I’m sure it will make him feel much better.  A steady gig is a good thing.  Even if I make half what I’m making now we will be in good shape.  Adjunct hours would be icing on the cake.  It really is a huge weight off my shoulders.

Then I can get back to being a scholar.
