I have sent off submissions for the last three years to the biggest conference in my field.  I found out today that I am three for three at getting at it accepted.  Moreover, every proposal that has had my name on it has been accepted (including the crappy one the first year, which even got UPGRADED from a poster to a presentation).  This conference has an annual attendence of around 15,000 people.  Now, it is in NO way all me.  3 of the 4 papers were submitted in conjunction with my adviser, and although I am listed as first author on them this is because he was full up on submissions already; I am taking on more work each year but am nowhere near done.  However I am REALLY psyched about this….
