With the exception of 45 minutes on the tarmac in Chicago I made it to Cleveland without incident.  I am so beat.  I have work to do but will probably go to bed early.  I can’t think at the moment and I’m pretty sure that a full nights sleep (and getting up early if I wake up) is a better plan.

In the meantime, here is a question for those of you who are or were graduate students.  Did you have a “big question” when you went into school or did you have to figure out what you wanted to study specifically when you got there?  If the latter, how did you do it?
